Social & Governance

Philanthropy has always been our top commitment in contributing to the society. We believe in giving as a social investment to promote an inclusive society and create real opportunities for the beneficiaries. Thus, since the beginning of our operations we have been actively involved in providing financial support to a number of local community programs and charitable causes.

Since inception, we have been a consistent sponsor for the following charitable organizations:

• Sekolah Semangat Maju Taiping, a semi-government school for intellectually disabled students in Taiping. Housed in a government building, the school currently supports over 230 mentally challenged children and youth. CET is one of the major sponsors of the school.

• Pusat Harian Kanak-kanak Spastik Bandar Ipoh, a children’s spastic centre based in Ipoh. Run by an NGO, the centre provides special learning programmes to physically and mentally handicapped children. CE Technology gives monetary donation to the centre on yearly basis.

• Masjid Raja Muda Musa Kampong Changkat Larah, a mosque committee in Kampong Changkat Larah (a village near Taiping). CET makes annual donation to the committee in monetary form as financial gift to the poor and needy children, orphans and handicapped children for the Muslim New Year celebration.

• Realizing the vast opportunities a good tertiary education bring, the company in association with Lions Club & Rotary Club of Taiping have since inception provided financial assistance to students from the local community who has successfully gained admission to pursue their first degree in local institution of higher learning. To date, 180 students have gained from this initiative.
